Year End Awards Show
I hope everyone made it home safely. All the pictures are posted. Of the 2000 or so that I took, only about 550 met my standards. The light inside those arenas makes it a hit or miss proposition. Spring in Wine Country It was a fun weekend in Yakima...not too hot and the rain managed to stay away during the day. CWQHA - 49th Annual Show Another successful show for the CWQHA on May14-17th. Of the 2000 photos I took, only about 700 were good enough to keep. The light in the Moses Lake arena is tough. Unfortunately, there were no usable images from Western Riding, Barrels and Poles on Saturday evening. The light died before the show did on that evening. Northwest Alpaca Showcase It was great meeting all you Alpaca people at the Northwest Alpaca Showcase this past weekend (April 25-26th). All photos are now posted and available. The lighting in the TRAC makes it harder to get accurate color, so the photos took a bit more work than usual. The photos of the darker colored Alpaca (browns and blacks) are turning to be of lower quality than I am generally willing to accept. On average I am throwing out 2/3 of those images. Show Me Your Horse Finally, it is here. Show Me Your Horse is a social networking site for you and your horses....chat with friends, post pictures and video of your horses, browse other peoples horses, and even create classified ads to sell or buy a horse. SMYH is also a great place for clubs and organizations to meet and stay in touch if you don't have your own website. Most of the features of the site are free. Posting classified ads and listing events require a small fee ($5-10/month). The site is supported by small Google ads at the bottom of each page. If you see an ad that interests you, clicking on it helps the site stay in business. Enjoy |
